Temperature Sensors

Temperature Sensors
The importance of temperature measurement in industrial environments is steadily increasing, giving rise to various temperature measurement techniques with distinct characteristics in different settings. The accurate selection of temperature sensors is crucial, considering the operating environment, temperature measurement range, and process conditions.
Temperature sensors can be various semiconductor materials based on the temperature measurement range, with thermistors (PTC-NTC, etc.) standing out in lower temperature applications due to cost considerations. Thermocouples (Fe-Const, NiCr-Ni, PtRh-Pt) and resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) such as PT100-PT1000 are the most commonly used in the market.
Thermocouples are preferred as measurement elements in high-temperature and rapid measurement applications, although their disadvantage is non-linear operation in specific temperature ranges.
On the other hand, resistance temperature detectors are relatively preferred in processes where lower temperatures and high accuracy are required.
